Job summary

Merck is seeking a Regional Sales Director for the Southeast US Immunology Sales organization. This field-based leadership role leads District Managers and their teams, accountable for performance, talent development, and business results with significant travel (up to 50%).

You will drive regional strategy, customer engagement, and access considerations to optimize payer relationships and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

BA/BS degree required with 10+ years in pharma sales/marketing or related field.
Minimum 3 years of people management experience.
3+ years building and managing customer relationships.

Responsibilities

Lead, recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing regional team to execute customer engagement strategies.
Own the customer portfolio and experience, ensuring accurate, trusted communications across touchpoints.
Build and sustain relationships with senior leaders to support strategic engagement.
Align account plans with payer and managed-care considerations for access and reimbursement.
Deliver regional business results and meet defined P&L targets.
Embed a customer-centric vision across large teams and drive shared goals.
Contribute to national strategy through cross-functional participation.
Identify and pursue opportunities to grow the business.
Leverage payer, patient, and HCP interactions and interdependencies.
