Job summary

Merck & Co. is seeking a Regional Sales Director to lead the Southeast US Immunology Sales team. This field-based role focuses on developing regional strategies, coaching District Managers, and ensuring alignment with payer and access strategies to optimize patient outcomes.

You will manage performance, drive launches, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to meet P&L targets while traveling up to 50% within the territory. Remote-friendly setup offered.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 10 years in sales/marketing/pharma.
• At least 3 years of people management.
• Willing to travel up to 50%.
• Experience building regional strategic plans and omnichannel strategies.
• Knowledge of healthcare dynamics including provider organizations, IDNs, specialty pharmacies, and access/reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Lead, recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing regional team.
• Own customer portfolio and experience, ensuring trusted communications across all touchpoints.
• Build relationships with senior leaders and industry thought leaders.
• Align account plans with payer and managed-care considerations to optimize access and reimbursement strategies.
• Deliver regional business results and meet defined P&L targets.
• Communicate and embed a customer-centric vision across large teams.
• Contribute to national strategy and tactics through cross-functional collaboration.
• Identify opportunities to grow the business.
• Leverage payer, patient, and HCP interactions and interdependencies.
• Provide input to set annual financial goals.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
