Responsibilities

• Answer and route calls about imaging studies, prioritizing urgent results.
• Serve as first line contact for radiologists, providers, and nursing staff regarding urgent findings.
• Review reports and notify patients and referring physicians via Epic secure chat, e-fax, and in-basket messaging.
• Maintain the critical results tracker to ensure timely communications within required timeframes.
• Verify MRI safety for outpatients with implantable devices through interrogation protocols.
• Notify ordering providers if devices fail interrogation to support care planning.
