Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare seeks an Imaging Call Center Assistant to support timely communication of imaging results, coordinate patient care, and streamline operations between radiologists, providers, and patients. This on-site role is based at Atlantic Station with a schedule of 3pm–11:30pm, Monday through Friday.

You will handle urgent calls, verify MRI safety, manage result notifications via Epic secure chat and e-fax, and collaborate with the Patient Connection Center to schedule post-device

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• Minimum 1 year of call center/dispatch experience.
• Experience in medical imaging settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls and route to ordering providers when there is an imaging study with a critical result.
• Be the first line contact for radiologists, providers, and nursing staff regarding urgent imaging findings.
• Review reports and notify patients and referring physicians via Epic secure chat, e-fax, and in-basket messaging.
• Maintain the critical results tracker and ensure timely communication within required timeframes.
• Verify MRI safety for outpatients with implantable devices through proper interrogation protocols.
• Notify ordering providers when devices fail interrogation to plan alternative care.
• Coordinate with the Patient Connection Center to schedule post-device interrogation.
• Process outside imaging requests using Powershare.
• Provide basic office support to the Imaging Call Center's daily operations.
