Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking an on-site Imaging Call Center Support role based at Atlantic Station. The position emphasizes timely communication of imaging results, coordination of patient care, and liaison with radiologists, providers, and patients.

Responsibilities include handling critical results, verifying MRI safety for patients with implants, and ensuring prompt notifications using Epic secure chat and e-fax. Prior call center experience is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum GED or high school diploma required.
• At least 1 year of call center or related office experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls and direct to ordering providers when there is an imaging study with a critical result.
• Serve as first line contact for radiologists, providers, and nursing staff regarding urgent imaging findings.
• Review reports and notify patients and referring physicians via Epic secure chat, e-fax and in-basket messaging.
• Maintain critical results tracker to ensure timely communication within required timeframes.
• Verify MRI safety for outpatients with implantable devices (e.g., pacemakers, IUDs, neuro-stimulators) through proper interrogation protocols.
• Notify ordering providers when devices fail interrogation to facilitate alternative care planning.
• Coordinate post-device interrogation scheduling with the Patient Connection Center.
• Request and manage outside imaging for exam correlation using Powershare.
• Perform basic office procedures to support the Imaging Call Center's daily operations.
