Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking an Imaging Call Center Specialist to support radiology operations at Atlantic Station. This on-site role requires strong communication, accurate call handling, and coordination with radiologists, providers, and patients during imaging workflows.

Shift is 3:00 PM–11:30 PM, Monday through Friday. You will verify MRI safety, manage urgent notifications via Epic, and help ensure timely scheduling and follow-up for post-interrogation care.

Qualifications

• 1 year of call center or related office experience required.
• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with Epic or secure messaging is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer and route calls to ordering providers for imaging with critical results.
• Serve as first line contact for radiologists, providers, and nursing staff on urgent findings.
• Review reports and notify patients and referring physicians via Epic secure chat, e-fax, and in-basket.
• Maintain the critical results tracker to ensure timely communication.
• Verify MRI safety for outpatients with implants using interrogation protocols.
• Notify providers when devices fail interrogation to support care planning.
• Coordinate with the Patient Connection Center to schedule post-device interrogation.
• Request and manage outside imaging for exam correlation using Powershare.
• Perform basic office procedures to support the Imaging Call Center's daily operations.
