Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking an Imaging Call Center Assistant to ensure timely communication of imaging results and smooth coordination between radiologists, providers, and patients. The role is on-site at Atlantic Station with a 3:00 PM–11:30 PM schedule, Monday through Friday.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in a call center or related office role and a GED or high school diploma. Proficiency with Epic chat and external imaging requests is a plus.

Qualifications

• One year of call center, operator, dispatching, or related office experience is required.
• H.S. Diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Answer, locate, and direct calls to ordering providers when an imaging study has a critical result.
• Serve as the first line contact for radiologists, providers, and nursing staff regarding urgent imaging findings.
• Review reports and send notifications to patients and referring physicians via Epic secure chat, e-fax, and in-basket messaging.
• Maintain the critical results tracker to ensure timely communication within required timeframes.
• Verify MRI safety for outpatients with implantable devices via interrogation protocols.
• Notify ordering providers when devices fail interrogation to facilitate alternative care planning.
• Coordinate post-device interrogation scheduling with the Patient Connection Center.
• Request and manage outside imaging for exam correlation using Powershare.
• Perform basic office procedures to support Imaging Call Center operations.
