Job summary

Clearview Cancer Institute in north Alabama seeks an Imaging Receptionist/Scheduler to support the imaging department by scheduling, checking in patients, answering calls, and handling clerical tasks. The role requires excellent communication, multitasking, and proficiency with basic computer and phone systems; prior medical office exposure is preferred.

You will work in a busy oncology/hematology clinic, helping patients navigate visits and coordinating with departments to ensure smooth patient

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; at least 1 year experience in a medical office, hospital, or imaging department.
• Must demonstrate good communication and multi-tasking abilities.
• Basic computer, phone, and team work skills required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and ascertain purpose of visit; direct to staff.
• Ensure paperwork and orders are complete and accurate prior to giving to modalities.
• Operate office equipment and transmit information using computer, mail, or fax.
• Provide location information for departments, offices, or services.
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
• Answer phones and direct non-clinical questions to staff.
• Print lab labels for Imaging patients with lab orders.
• Maintain a clean and orderly lobby throughout the day.
