The purpose of the Imaging Receptionist/Scheduler is to assist the imaging department in scheduling, checking in patients, answering telephones, and any other clerical/administrative tasks that may need to be performed.
Must demonstrate good communication skills with co-workers and outside business contacts. Must be able to multi-task and have a commitment to excellence in patient care. Basic computer, phone, and team work skills required.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have at least (1) year experience in a medical office setting, hospital, or imaging department.
This position is in the imaging department of a busy oncology/hematology clinic. Direct patient care is required to do work assigned such as checking in patients, verifying insurance, and scheduling appointments.
This position requires that the employee be able to sit at a desk and work on a computer for up to eight hours a day. This position also requires a great deal of telephone work in order to complete tasks.
