Job summary

Clearview Cancer Institute in north Alabama is seeking a Physician Scheduler to coordinate patient appointments with physicians, extenders, labs, and imaging. You will confirm schedules, greet patients, and direct them to the appropriate staff, ensuring smooth daily operations.

The role requires ability to multi-task, strong communication, and the capacity to work in a fast-paced oncology/hematology clinic. High school diploma and medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments for patients to see physician, extender, labs, scans, etc.
• Confirm patient appointments and maintain office schedules for physicians and extenders.
• Greet patients, ascertain purpose of visit, and direct them to appropriate staff.
• Answer telephones and direct calls to appropriate staff; route messages and documents as needed.
• Perform various clerical and administrative functions as needed.
