Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking an instrument and electrical technical specialist to support construction, plant facilities, and field operations. You will repair, install, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on control systems, SCADA, and related equipment across gas and liquid facilities and pipelines.

Responsibilities include installing and maintaining PLC/DCS, reading schematics, and ensuring compliance with DOT/PSM requirements, with on-call duties and mentoring of less experienced

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Level A/B/C experience ranges: Level C 0–2 years, Level B 2–4 years, Level A 4+ years.
• Valid driver’s license with safe driving record.
• Proficiency with MS Office including Outlook and Word.
• Experience troubleshooting control solutions with InTouch Wonderware, FactoryTalk, RSLogix, or DeltaV.
• Extensive knowledge of DOT 192/193/195 and OSHA 1910 related to electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, and maintain SCADA systems, plant, pipeline, and compressor instrument and electrical equipment components.
• Read and interpret manuals, drawings, policies, and engineering standards.
• Perform energy isolation lockout/tagout procedures (LOTO).
• Provide mentoring and oversight to less qualified employees.
• Coordinate with third-party contractors and provide accurate reporting.
