Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking a qualified technician for instrument and electrical support across construction, plant facilities, and field operations. You will repair, install, troubleshoot, and maintain SCADA, PLC/DCS, and related control systems at gas and liquid facilities and pipelines.

The role requires reading schematics, following DOT 192/193/195 guidelines, and performing regular preventive maintenance with on-call duties as needed. Training and safety program participation are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with safe driving record.
• Experience with control systems installation and maintenance.
• Knowledge of DOT 192/193/195 regulations.
• Familiarity with PLC/DCS, SCADA, and instrumentation.
• Ability to read drawings and P&IDs.
• Willingness to travel up to 5%.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, and maintain SCADA systems for plant, pipeline, and compressor equipment.
• Repair instrument and electrical equipment and associated software.
• Read manuals, engineering standards, and schematics including P&IDs.
• Test, calibrate, and document control devices per regulatory requirements.
• Provide mentoring and oversight to less experienced staff.
