Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking an instrument and electrical technician to support construction, plant facilities and field operations. The role involves repairing, installing, troubleshooting, and performing predictive and preventive maintenance on control systems, SCADA, and related equipment at gas/liquid facilities and pipelines.

The position requires knowledge of PLC/DCS, motor control gear, electrical distribution, and compliance with DOT and OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Experience commensurate with the job level (0–2 / 2–4 / 4+ years).
• Valid driver’s license with safe driving record.
• Maintain motor controls, relay logic, RTUs, I&E devices.
• Proficiency with MS Office; experience with control software.
• Experience with In Touch Wonderware or FactoryTalk, RSLogix, DeltaV.
• Knowledge of DOT 192/193/195 and OSHA 1910 requirements.
• National Electric Code familiarity

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, and maintain SCADA and plant instrument systems.
• Repair and maintain PLC/DCS and safety controls.
• Read manuals, drawings, and schematics; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide mentoring and supervise third-party contractors.
