Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking an instrument and electrical technician to provide maintenance support for SCADA, PLC/DCS, and related control systems across gas and liquid facilities and pipelines.

The role requires diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining instrumentation, safety devices, and associated software, with an emphasis on compliance with DOT and OSHA standards. Monday–Friday schedule with potential on-call duties and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience varies by level: 0–2 to 4+ years.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• MS Office (Outlook/Word) proficiency.
• Experience with InTouch Wonderware, FactoryTalk, RSLogix, or DeltaV.
• DOT 192/193/195 and OSHA 1910 testing/docs knowledge.
• National Electric Code and OSHA 1910 understanding.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, and maintain SCADA, plant, pipeline equipment.
• Maintain pneumatic and intelligent instruments and drive systems.
• Maintain PLCs or DCS and safety controls.
• Read manuals, drawings, schematics, and policies.
• Test and document safety devices per DOT and PSM rules.
• Participate in on-call requirements.
• Support safety programs and initiatives.
• Provide mentoring and oversee contractors.
• Provide accurate written reporting.
• Follow safety policies and LOTO procedures.
