Energy Transfer Partners, L.P. is seeking an instrument and electrical technical support professional for our extensive gas and liquid facilities and pipelines.

The role focuses on installing, diagnosing, and maintaining SCADA systems, PLCs/DCS, and safety controls across plants and pipelines, ensuring DOT/regulatory compliance and reliable operations. You will review manuals, configure control equipment, and support on-call needs while mentoring junior technicians and coordinating with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with safe driving record.
• Experience with control systems software and PLC/DCS troubleshooting.
• Familiar with DOT rules and electrical safety standards.
• Strong MS Office skills (Outlook/Word).

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, and maintain SCADA systems at plants, pipelines, and compressor stations.
• Maintain pneumatic and intelligent instruments and motor control gear.
• Support PLCs/DCS and process/safety controls.
• Review manuals, drawings, and schematics for compliance and maintenance.
• Perform maintenance per DOT and safety requirements and document results.
• Assist with on-call requirements and safety programs.
• Provide mentoring and oversee work by contractors.
• Generate accurate written and electronic reports.
