Job summary

Georgia Power in Georgia is seeking an experienced O&M technician to provide safe and reliable operation and maintenance for utility-scale PV solar plants, BESS, and DERs across the state. You will monitor assets via SCADA and perform inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on AC/DC systems.

Responsibilities include planning and executing maintenance, ensuring site compliance, and using Maximo for work planning and documentation.

Qualifications

Two-year technical degree or military equivalent.
EEI TECH test qualified.
Live within one hour drive of a work site.
Willing to work extended hours including nights and weekends.
Available for call out to support operational needs.

Responsibilities

Travel to and from site locations around the region or state as needed.
Assist with planning, coordinating, & scheduling of site maintenance activities and projects.
Execution of site operations and maintenance activities and projects.
Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment.
Site compliance facilitator, and executer (Environmental, Health, and Safety).
Site contractor compliance facilitator, and executer.
Site – LOTO administrator, facilitator, and executer.
Maximo User – PMs, CMs, CDs, Inventory, PRs, POs, and record keeping.
Participate in team meetings (Morning Meetings, Planning Meetings, Safety Meetings, etc).
Participate and complete all assigned training.
Effectively communicate with Team Leader and Team Members.
