Job summary

Georgia Power is seeking an experienced O&M Technician to provide operation and maintenance support for utility-scale PV solar, BESS, and distributed energy resources across the state of Georgia. You will monitor assets via SCADA, perform inspections, troubleshoot issues, and carry out repairs on AC/DC equipment, ensuring safety and reliability.

The role requires flexibility for night, weekend, and storm duty, with work across multiple facilities such as Twiggs BESS, Wadley BESS, South Hall

Qualifications

• Requires two-year technical degree or military equivalent.
• EEI TECH test qualification is required.
• Must be able to travel to multiple sites and support on-call and night/weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide O&M support for solar, BESS, and DER facilities across Georgia.
• Monitor and operate assets via SCADA; perform inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on AC/DC systems.
• Maintain compliance including environmental, health and safety and LOTO administration.
• Coordinate with site contractors and manage inventory and work orders in Maximo.
• Travel to and from site locations as needed; participate in storm duty as required.
