Job summary

Georgia Power is seeking an experienced O&M technician to support its R2Gen Solar, BESS and DER facilities across Georgia. The role covers safe operation, monitoring via SCADA, inspections, troubleshooting, and repair of AC/DC systems, with equipment including inverters, PV modules, battery systems, and metering.

You will work on medium voltage DC and AC systems up to 34.5 kV, ensure site compliance, and use Maximo for planning and documentation.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree required.
• EEI TECH test qualified.
• Live within one hour drive of the work location.
• Extended work hours including nights and weekends.
• Available for call out to support operational needs.
• Experience in Solar or BESS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel to and from site locations as needed.
• Assist with planning, coordinating & scheduling of maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment.
• Site safety, environmental and contractor compliance.
• Maximo PMs, CMs, CDs, inventory, PRs, POs and records management.
• Communicate effectively with team members and leaders.
