Job summary

Georgia Power in Newnan, GA seeks an I&C Technician to provide O&M support for solar/BESS/DER facilities across Georgia. Responsibilities include monitoring via SCADA, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs of AC/DC systems.

Qualifications

• Requires two-year technical degree from a certified technical institution or military equivalent.
• Knowledge of LOTO, switching, and general industrial safety practices.
• Experience with SCADA or plant monitoring systems is preferred.
• Familiarity with 600V–1500V DC systems and up to 34.5kV AC is desired.

Responsibilities

• Travel to site locations around the region or state as needed.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on solar, BESS, and DER facilities.
• Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment including inverters, modules, and switchgear.
• Maintain site compliance including EH&S and contractor management.
• Use MAXIMO for planning, execution, inventory, and record-keeping.
• Participate in safety meetings and training; follow LOTO procedures.
