Job summary

Georgia Power is seeking an O&M technician to support R2Gen Solar, BESS, and DER facilities across Georgia. You will monitor and operate assets via SCADA, perform inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on inverters, PV modules, battery systems, transformers, and switchgear, with DC systems up to 1500 V and AC up to 34.5 kV.

Qualifications

Two-year technical degree from a certified technical institution or military equivalent.
EEI TECH test qualified is required.
Experience with electrical and mechanical safety practices is essential.

Responsibilities

Travel to and from site locations as needed or operate at a single site.
Plan, coordinate, and schedule site maintenance activities and projects.
Execute site operations and maintenance activities and projects.
Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment.
Facilitate site compliance (Environmental, Health, and Safety).
Maintain Maximo records for PMs, CMs, CDs, Inventory, PRs, POs.
