Job summary

Georgia Power in Georgia is seeking an I&C Technician to provide O&M support for solar, BESS, and DER facilities across the state. You will monitor assets via SCADA, perform inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs of AC/DC systems, and ensure site compliance including safety and contractor management.

Responsibilities include coordinating maintenance, executing field activities, and using IBM Maximo for planning, inventory, and reporting while working 600V-1500V DC and up to 34.5kV AC systems.

Qualifications

• Requires a two-year technical degree from a certified institution or military equivalent.
• EEI tech test qualified is required.
• Must live within an hour drive of the work location.
• Must be available for extended hours including nights and weekends and for call-out.

Responsibilities

• Travel to and from site locations as needed or be assigned to one site.
• Plan, coordinate, and schedule site maintenance activities and projects.
• Execute site operations and maintenance activities and projects.
• Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment.
• Comply with environmental, health, and safety requirements; manage contractor compliance.
