Job summary

HDR is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join its Hydropower program. The role involves technical leadership in analysis, design, and construction of dam and power infrastructure across the region. You will conduct geotechnical investigations, model dams, prepare drawings and specifications, and support client relationships through marketing efforts. Travel to field sites and multi-discipline collaboration are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical or Geological Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license recognized by the licensing board.
• 5 years of related geotechnical engineering experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, and GIS.
• Experience with GeoStudio/Ensoft slope stability, settlement, seepage and deep foundation software.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis, design, and construction modifications for large dams and power infrastructure.
• Drive project workflows, planning, and geotechnical field investigations.
• Prepare geotechnical analyses, design calculations and reports.
