Job summary

HDR is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join its Hydropower program. You will serve as a technical lead on dam modification analyses, design calculations, and construction documents for large-scale infrastructure across the region.

The role includes geotechnical field investigations, lab testing programs, dam safety review, and potential project management responsibilities, with opportunities to mentor staff and help grow HDR's hydropower capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (required).
• Professional Engineer license (required).
• Experience with GeoStudio/Ensoft slope stability, settlement, seepage and deep foundation software.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis, design and construction modifications for large dams and critical power infrastructure.
• Plan geotechnical field investigations and laboratory testing.
• Prepare geotechnical analyses, design calculations and reports; review instrumentation data and perform finite element modelling.
