Job summary

AvonRisk is seeking a Claims Supervisor to lead a claims unit, coaching specialists and assistants, ensuring timely performance, and compliance with Labor Code rules. The role involves mentoring staff, auditing inventories, and maintaining strong cross-department collaboration.

The position is hybrid, with in-office work in Houston one day per week. The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of progressive claim experience, with proven leadership and project management abilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of progressive technical claim experience.
• Strong project management and leadership capabilities.
• Ability to coach and evaluate staff and manage performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee timely completion of performance reviews for the unit.
• Provide monetary approval authority up to the assigned level.
• Maintain critical files and subrogation, coverage, and special files.
• Offer guidance, mentoring, and feedback to unit personnel.
• Ensure all claims are handled in accordance with statutes and company rules.
• Foster teamwork across departments and develop supervisor backups.
• Perform quarterly audits of open inventories to improve processes and outcomes.
