Job summary

AvonRisk LLC, the nation’s leading specialty risk manager for self-insured organizations, seeks a Claims Supervisor for a hybrid role in Glendale/Orange. You will manage an assigned inventory of claim files and coordinate with medical case management to drive timely resolutions under California workers’ compensation statutes.

You will perform 24-hour initial contact on new losses, gather essential facts, review medical bills, set reserve plans, and pursue subrogation and fraud referrals as

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 3-5 years related experience & training (5 years without a SIP certificate)
• Must be able to work in a hybrid role in Glendale/Orange

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned claim files to resolution under California workers' compensation laws.
• Perform three-point contact within 24 hours of claim receipt.
• Gather evidence for compensability, disability, and costs; review medical bills for appropriateness.
• Maintain up-to-date indemnity reserve plans and action steps.
• Collaborate with medical case manager to facilitate early return to work.
• Refer suspected fraud to SIU and pursue subrogation and third-party contributions.
