Job summary

AvonRisk is seeking a Claims Unit Supervisor based in Texas to lead a team of Claims Specialists and Assistants. You will coach, monitor performance, and ensure work complies with company standards and Labor Code rules.

The role reports to the Claims Manager and supports timely, accurate claim handling. Responsibilities include conducting performance reviews, providing mentorship, and maintaining high-quality documentation and client communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 1–2 years related experience; or equivalent education/experience.
• Five+ years of progressive technical claim experience with judgment and discretion.
• Experience guiding complex claim settlements or negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee timely completion of performance reviews for all personnel in the unit.
• Provide monetary approval authority up to the designated level.
• Maintain important claim files and ensure compliance with company rules and Labor Code requirements.
• Offer ongoing mentoring, coaching, and performance feedback to unit staff.
• Ensure accurate, timely handling of claims and communication with clients.
