Job summary

AvonRisk is seeking a Claims Manager to lead a team of Claims Specialists and Assistants, ensuring timely, compliant handling of assigned claim inventories. The role focuses on coaching, performance management, and adherence to Labor Code rules.

Reporting to the Claims Manager, you will conduct reviews, provide mentoring, and drive process improvements while maintaining a professional, collaborative, and business-focused environment in California.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 5+ years of progressive technical claim experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills essential.
• Ability to coach, counsel, and provide performance feedback.

Responsibilities

• Oversee timely performance reviews for unit personnel and ensure adherence to company standards.
• Provide mentoring, coaching, and ongoing feedback to staff in the Claims Unit.
• Ensure all claims are handled in compliance with Labor Code and company rules.
• Develop a supervisor backup by identifying and grooming potential successors.
• Conduct quarterly audits of open inventory to improve processes and outcomes.
• Coordinate with other departments to maintain teamwork and collaboration.
