Job summary

ManpowerGroup seeks a Desktop Support Technician for our client in Owings Mills, MD. The role is hybrid, four days on site, with a pay range of $30-$35/hr W2. You will support a high-volume end-user environment, deploy Windows systems, and manage onboarding, including LDAP and VPN access.

Requires a Associate degree in IT/CS/Engineering and 5+ years’ desktop support experience. Strong Windows, imaging, deployment, and AD/VPN skills are essential to minimize downtime and keep users productive.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in CS/CE/IT or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on desktop support in a corporate setting.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
• Experience with desktop/laptop imaging, configuration and deployment.
• Familiarity with Active Directory/LDAP and VPN connectivity.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line technical support for a high volume of walk-up and remote end-user requests.
• Install, configure, deploy, and maintain Windows desktop and laptop systems.
• Support hardware and software lifecycle activities including research, packaging, testing, QA and deployment preparation.
• Provision and onboard new hires, including desktop setup, email, LDAP and VPN access.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, OS and application issues to minimize downtime.
