Experis is seeking a Desktop Support Technician in Owings Mills, MD for hybrid work arrangement. You will join the IT Support Department supporting a diverse team of professionals and handling high-volume end-user requests.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of desktop support experience, strong Windows expertise, and hands-on experience with imaging, deployment, and LDAP/VPN provisioning. This role offers competitive hourly pay and benefits through a contract with ManpowerGroup family.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in a technical field as listed.
• 5+ years of hands-on desktop support in a corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
• Experience with imaging, deployment, and equipment provisioning.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line technical support for a high volume of walk-up and remote end-user requests.
• Install, configure, deploy, and maintain Windows desktops and laptops.
• Support hardware and software lifecycle activities including testing and deployment preparation.
• Provision onboarding for new hires (desktop setup, email, LDAP, VPN).
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, OS, and app issues to minimize downtime.

Our client, a dynamic organization in the technology sector, is seeking a dedicated Desktop Support Technician to join their team. As a Desktop Support Technician, you will be part of the IT Support Department supporting a diverse team of professionals. Job Title: Desktop Support Technician

Location:Owings Mills, MD (Hybrid, 4 days a week onsite)

Pay Range: $30 - $35/hr W2

What's the Job?

• Provide front-line technical support for a high volume of walk-up and remote end-user requests.
• Install, configure, deploy, and maintain Windows desktop and laptop systems.
• Support hardware and software lifecycle management activities, including research, packaging, testing, quality assurance, and deployment preparation.
• Provision and onboard new hires, including desktop and laptop setup, email account configuration, LDAP account creation, and VPN access setup.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and application-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime for users.

What's Needed?

• Associate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of hands-on desktop support experience in a corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge and experience supporting Microsoft Windows operating systems.
• Proven experience with desktop and laptop installation, imaging, configuration, and deployment.
• Familiarity with Active Directory/LDAP user administration and supporting VPN connectivity for remote users.
