Job summary

TEKsystems seeks an End User Support Technician to deliver hands-on IT support for about 30 users in Elkridge, MD, in a hybrid role. The position focuses on fast incident resolution, imaging and deployment, and strong customer service in a contracted setup.

Responsibilities include desktop support, ticket-driven work, and onboarding/offboarding assistance, with pay in the $20–$25/hr range and a 6‑month contract term. Onsite presence is required as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in desktop support or end-user services environment.
• Strong troubleshooting across Windows, hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Experience using ticketing systems and handling incidents to resolution.
• Hands-on experience with device deployment, imaging, and hardware break/fix.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and common enterprise apps.
• Experience supporting laptops, desktops, printers, and conferencing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day desktop and end-user support for onsite employees.
• Respond to incidents and service requests via the ticketing system.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, OS, printers, and peripherals.
• Perform break/fix support for laptops, desktops, monitors, and docking stations.
• Provide remote and on-site support to ensure timely resolution.
• Image, configure, deploy, and refresh desktop and laptop systems per standards.
• Support onboarding and offboarding, workstation setup, asset recovery.
