ABB drives professionals seek a VFD Support Specialist to deliver technical assistance to customers, sales channels, and product teams. You will troubleshoot, program drives, and assist with warranty processes from a hybrid role based in the US.

Required are a related degree or equivalent experience, VFD knowledge, and strong English communication skills. Remote-friendly setup, with a base in the US supporting ABB Drive Products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of relevant Electrical/Technical experience, OR Associate degree with 6+ years of relevant Electrical/Technical experience, OR High School Diploma with 8+ years of relevant Electrical/Technical experience.
• Knowledge of how Variable Frequency Drives work is REQUIRED.
• Ability to troubleshoot drives using fundamental electrical principles and industry best practices.
• Must be able to respond to inquiries in English, verbally and in writing, and be computer-literate.
• Candidates must have work authorization to work for ABB in the US.

Responsabilités

• Provide technical support via phone and email for Low Voltage VFDs, assisting customers and field techs with commissioning, troubleshooting, and warranty evaluations.
• Assist customers with drive programming, parameter configuration, communication, and integration with control systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, field service, sales, and product teams to resolve complex technical issues.
• Coordinate with the warranty team to initiate warranty replacements and labor authorization for repairs.
• Maintain detailed documentation of support cases and solutions using Salesforce Case Management and other tools.
• Stay current with VFD technologies, software updates, and industry trends.
