Sargent & Lundy in Hamilton Township, NJ seeks a Structural Engineer to apply expertise in materials, structural analysis, steel design, and reinforced concrete design on power transmission projects. You will create calculations, drawings, and specifications while interfacing with clients to convey technical details and ensure design integrity.

Bonded by strong collaboration, you will develop integrated designs, review work, and advance solutions through modern tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Structural/Civil Engineering with strong background in materials behavior, structural analysis, steel design and reinforced concrete design.
• ABET-accredited program is preferred for structural engineering accreditation.
• EIT certification is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, troubleshoot, and solve complex structural engineering issues.
• Perform structural analysis and detailed design of steel structures, connections, concrete members, platforms, and foundations.
• Develop integrated structural designs and supporting calculations for planned work.
• Interface with clients and communicate technical information.
• Prepare technical specifications for structural materials.
• Review work completed by others, including calculations and drawings.
• Engage in knowledge sharing through Communities of Practice and company processes.
• Travel to client and vendor sites for design reviews and field verification.
