Job summary
Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to apply knowledge of materials, structural analysis, steel and concrete design on power, energy and industrial projects. You’ll produce calculations, develop structural documents, and prepare specifications.
You may travel to client/vendor offices and plant sites for design reviews and field verification of designs. The role requires a BS or MS in Civil Engineering with a background in wind and seismic design, plus proficiency in design
Qualifications
- BS or MS in Civil Engineering with strong materials and structural design focus.
- Knowledge of loads analysis for structural supports and design integrity.
- Ability to create technical plans, drawings and models.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Apply materials and structural analysis knowledge to develop calculations and specs.
- Perform structural analyses under wind, seismic, and pressurization loads.
- Design steel frames, connections, concrete members, supports and foundations.
- Coordinate with client/vendor offices for reviews and field verifications.
