Job summary
Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to join our Energy & Industrial Group in a hybrid role, with three days in the office. You will apply advanced structural analysis and design to power, energy, and industrial projects, preparing calculations, specifications, and drawings.
Occasional site and client visits are expected to support reviews and field verification. The role emphasizes collaboration, technical excellence, and continuous learning across software tools and design
Qualifications
- This position requires a BS or MS in Civil Engineering and a strong academic background in materials behavior, structural analysis, steel design, and reinforced concrete design.
- Knowledge of loads analysis for structural supports and design integrity is essential.
- Proficiency in producing technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models and in MS Office is expected.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Responsibilities
- Apply knowledge of materials, structural analysis, steel and concrete design on power, energy and industrial projects.
- Create calculations and develop structural document designs and technical specifications.
- Conduct structural analyses under wind, seismic and pressurization loads.
- Travel to client/vendor offices and plant sites for reviews and field verification.
