Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a structural engineering professional to support utility-scale solar, wind, storage, and other power projects. The role focuses on in-depth structural design reviews, developing specifications, and producing technical reports for diverse stakeholders.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in detailed structural design, familiarity with foundational and material systems, and strong written communication. The role supports hybrid work with in-office requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering with a structural specialty; Master’s a plus.
• 5+ years of detailed structural design experience (mass concrete, steel, piles, deep foundations, lattice structures).
• 3+ years of experience in structural design for power generation or distribution (thermal, renewable, substations).
• Experience in writing and supporting Structural Engineering specifications, calculations, and whitepapers or feasibility studies.
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate technically.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural engineering reviews and develop design specifications.
• Advise power project developers to support solar, wind, storage, and other projects.
• Evaluate new projects to support financing and develop technical reports for owners, developers, agencies, and financiers.
