Job summary
Sargent & Lundy's Nuclear Power Group is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join a team delivering carbon-free energy projects. The role blends office and remote work under a hybrid arrangement, with opportunities to mentor others and lead design reviews.
You will apply structural analysis, steel and concrete design, and collaborate across disciplines on diverse projects, traveling to client sites as needed and contributing to safe, reliable plant solutions.
Qualifications
- ABET-accredited civil engineering degree with structural emphasis.
- Five+ years of experience in design and analysis of structures.
- Proficiency with STAAD, SAP2000, SAFE, STRUDL or ANSYS.
- Familiar with ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI design codes.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review design calculations, specifications and reports.
- Mentor junior engineers and review deliverables.
- Perform structural analysis and design of steel frames, concrete members and foundations.
- Coordinate with other disciplines and travel to client sites as needed.
- Support design drawings development and review at project milestones.
