Job summary

AppFolio is seeking a Business Development Representative (SMB - Investment Manager) for a hybrid role in Dallas, TX or Santa Barbara, CA. You will qualify leads, make 50 outbound calls daily, and build relationships with property managers to create new opportunities.

Collaborating with Account Executives, you’ll update Salesforce and Gong, report weekly results, and continuously learn about the PropTech landscape to outperform competitors.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of work experience in a BDR or sales role.
• Strong prospecting skills and drive for results.
• Willingness to learn and build a career in sales.
• Experience with PropTech or FinTech SaaS is preferred.
• Travel is expected.

Responsibilities

• Make 50 outbound calls per day with the intent to qualify leads, build relationships with property managers, and develop new sales opportunities from cold accounts.
• Partner with Account Executives to qualify prospects and learn additional sales tactics to win deals together.
• Update and maintain Salesforce and Gong databases with new notes and intel gathered from conversations with prospects.
• Report on weekly results, both qualitative and quantitative.
• Expand knowledge of industry as well as the competitive posture of the company.
