Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. seeks a Project Manager for Transmission and Substation in the Denver area. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams through concept, engineering design, procurement, construction, commissioning and closeout of transmission lines and substations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from ABET-accredited program or related field.
• 5+ years of project management experience on transmission/substation or grid projects.
• Experience with project management processes in electric utility or power industry.
• Ability to manage scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality and stakeholders.
• Strong technical, analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams from concept through procurement, construction, commissioning and closeout.
• Prepare and update project forecasts, schedules and status reports per PM processes.
• Develop strong client relationships and address concerns proactively.
• Monitor performance against scope, budget and schedule; mitigate risks.
• Coordinate design development, submittals and quality review processes.
• Facilitate RFPs, bids, contracts and vendor/supplier engagements.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities with clients.
