Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a self-starting Project Civil/Environmental Engineer to support a diverse US portfolio, including energy, industrial, and transportation sites requiring environmental permitting expertise.

You will collaborate with scientists, engineers, project managers, and subject-m experts to develop civil designs, assess geotechnical and hydrologic data, and manage projects from concept through approval, with office focus and field work as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience.
• Fluent with AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, or other terrain modeling design software.
• Experience with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling (e.g., HydroCAD, WinTR-55, PondPack, HEC-RAS).

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering designs for permitting or construction permits.
• Manage civil or environmental engineering projects, including land development and stormwater permitting.
• Analyze technical reports, maps, drawings, tests, and aerial photographs to support design development.
• Travel up to 15% and conduct field assignments when needed.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with project teams.
