Job summary

HOK Group, Inc. is seeking a Project Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team in a hybrid role requiring on-site presence Tuesday through Thursday at our Denver office.

You will collaborate with Project Managers and Finance leadership to support project setup, billing, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of project accounting experience (preferably in architecture), a bachelor’s degree in accounting, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with Deltek Vantagepoint or

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in project accounting, preferably in architecture.
• Experience with revenue recognition.
• Proficient in Excel and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly invoices, budgets, and project management reports.
• Set up and maintain projects in the accounting system in accordance with contract terms.
• Track and input project budgets and financial data.
• Review project cost reports and meet with Project Managers and Finance leadership to assess status, profitability, and costs.
• Manage consultant invoice processing and communication.
• Reviewing project contracts and financial requirements.
• Assist with revenue recognition and monthly earnings analysis.
• Respond to inquiries from staff, vendors, and clients regarding financial matters.
• Analyze project cost reports and meet with Project Managers and Finance Director to review invoicing, profitability, earnings, cost and cash flow.
• Provide general accounting support as needed.
• Support sustainability initiatives through green workplace practices
