Job summary

HOK is seeking a Project Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team in a hybrid role based in our Houston office, with on-site three days per week. You will support project setup, billing, reporting, revenue recognition, and financial analysis for assigned projects.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of project accounting experience, preferably in architecture, strong Excel and MS Office skills, and familiarity with Deltek Vantagepoint or similar software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
• 2–4 years of project accounting experience, architecture/design firms preferred.
• Experience with revenue recognition and project accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Excel and MS Office; Deltek Vantagepoint experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly invoices, budgets, and project reports.
• Set up and maintain projects in the accounting system per contract terms.
• Track budgets and financial data; review cost reports with Project Managers and Finance leadership.
• Assist with revenue recognition and monthly earnings analysis.
• Support PMs and finance with financial analysis and cash flow insights.
• Handle consultant invoice processing and inquiries.
