Job summary

Eaton Corporation’s Electrical Engineering Services & Systems (EESS) team is seeking engineers to develop, test, and implement power systems control solutions using PLCs, HMIs, and protective relays. This hybrid role emphasizes hands-on design and field support for power transfer applications.

The position requires advanced engineering degrees and substantial experience in power distribution controls, with a company vehicle and paid overtime as part of the compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with substantial power distribution controls experience.
• Master’s degree in Engineering with substantial power distribution controls experience.
• Minimum 7–10 years of power distribution controls experience or equivalent with progression.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, test, and deploy software for PLCs and HMIs for Power Transfer applications.
• Follow customer and internal specifications for project implementation.
• Select components and create bills of materials.
• Provide sketches and direction to Electrical Designers for project drawings.
• Prepare customer submittals, SOO, and test procedures.
• Assist with factory testing and field start-ups as required.
• Troubleshoot systems that are not functioning properly.
