Job summary

Essentia Health Virginia Clinic is seeking a Patient Access / Registration teammate to greet patients, collect demographic and financial information, and facilitate registration and scheduling. You will verify insurance details, collect co-pays, and coordinate with the clinical team to ensure efficient patient flow.

In this role you will maintain accurate patient records, provide cost estimates, and support a courteous, professional experience for every patient.

Qualifications

• Interviews patients to obtain complete demographic details and financial information.
• Obtains copies of insurance cards and updates patient information in the medical record.
• Performs point of service data collection, including co-pays and cash reconciliation.
• Maintains work queues and follows supervisor guidance.
• Delivers high levels of customer service to patients and staff.
• Answers calls, schedules appointments, and routes to clinical team as needed.
• Sanitizes equipment and restocks supplies.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to collect demographic and financial data for accurate registration and billing.
• Collect co-pays, reconcile cash drawer, and report deposits to ensure revenue accuracy.
• Keep queues updated and coordinate with clinical staff to support patient flow.
• Provide courteous, patient-centered service and support to the registration process.
