Job summary

Essentia Health Hinckry Clinic seeks a friendly Registration Clerk to greet patients and manage the registration process. You will collect demographics, financial information, and insurance details to ensure accurate billing and care coordination.

You will liaise with Virtual Patient Registration Representatives and Patient Schedulers, handle checkouts, schedule follow-ups, provide cost estimates, and support the clinical team with a courteous, patient-first experience.

Qualifications

• Interviews patients to obtain complete demographic and financial details.
• Obtains copies of insurance cards and updates patient records as needed.
• Performs data collection at point of service and handles payments accurately.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to obtain complete demographic and financial details.
• Obtain insurance cards and ID documents and update medical records.
• Collect co-pays and reconcile cash drawer; report daily deposits.
• Maintain all work queues as directed by supervisor.
• Provide high level of customer service to patients and colleagues.
• Answer calls, schedule appointments, and coordinate with clinical team.
• Sanitize registration equipment and restock supplies.
• Perform other clerical duties as assigned.
