Baker Donelson is seeking a Billing Specialist to join our Revenue Services team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of billing experience in a law firm and a proactive, detail-oriented approach to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

You will review prebills, adjust time and disbursement entries, generate and distribute invoices, and collaborate with attorneys and staff to ensure accurate billing in line with client instructions.

Responsabilités

• Generate client invoices, review prebills, adjust time and disbursement entries, and apply prepayments.
• Post, generate, and distribute invoices to clients and attorneys.
• Maintain and update billing databases for accurate data retrieval.
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff to address billing matters and client expectations.
• Ensure client-specific billing instructions are followed.
• Monitor unbilled work-in-progress to support timely cycles.
• Create spreadsheets and reports from financial systems to support billing decisions.
• Participate in special billing projects as assigned.
• Adhere to departmental policies and procedures for consistency.
• Respond promptly to billing inquiries from attorneys, secretaries, and clients.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the billing manager or revenue services director.
