Job summary

Prairie Island CBH, Inc. is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager in Minnesota to lead HR operations, employee relations, training, and policy administration.

The role reports to the CEO and partners with Green Leaf Business Solutions and legal counsel to ensure compliant HR practices. The ideal candidate will manage confidentiality, guide leadership, and navigate regulations in a growing, highly regulated Tribal cannabis environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in HR or related field; or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of four years of progressive HR experience, including employee relations.
• Experience guiding onboarding, performance evaluations, discipline, and separations.
• Proficiency with HRIS and maintaining confidential records.
• Ability to liaison with outsourced HR/payroll providers; work with legal counsel when needed.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee hiring process: descriptions, ads, selection, and background checks.
• Coordinate onboarding and orientation across locations.
• Advise managers on performance, policy enforcement, and employee relations.
• Maintain confidential employee records in HRIS.
• Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and tribal regulations.
• Collaborate with Green Leaf Business Solutions and legal counsel.
