Job summary

Prairie Island CBH, Inc. is seeking a Director of Retail to lead our tribal cannabis retail operations, including Island Pezi and future expansions.

You will report to the CEO and oversee store profitability, regulatory compliance, and the customer experience, while guiding store managers and collaborating with Finance, HR, Marketing, IT, and Distribution. The role requires regular on-site leadership with travel between Minnesota locations, including Welch and Mankato, and a commitment to Tribal

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in business administration, retail management, or a related field.
• At least seven years of progressively responsible retail management experience across multiple locations.
• At least two years in licensed cannabis retail operations.
• Proven ability to manage store or multi-store P&L, budgets, and labor planning.
• Experience with cannabis POS and METRC reconciliation and audits.
• Strong Excel, Word, Outlook and retail reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead retail operations and profitability across Prairie Island CBH, Inc. locations.
• Own retail P&L, budgets, staffing plans, and operating expense controls.
• Monitor sales, margins, labor costs, inventory turnover, and shrink to improve profitability.
• Travel between Minnesota locations to coach managers and ensure compliance.
• Provide concise reporting to the CEO and present updates to the Board as needed.
• Hire, coach, and evaluate store managers and develop succession plans.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, licensing, training, and safe customer education.
