Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Associate Engineering Intern to join the Grid business unit, supporting project teams in transmission and distribution engineering. Under senior engineers, you will gain hands-on experience across Civil, Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical disciplines while assisting with calculations, reports, and procurement documents.

The role offers a hybrid schedule with three days in the office and two remote, and a target start date in summer 2027.

Qualifications

Enrolled in BS or MS in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering with a strong academic background.
Relevant coursework in civil, geotechnical, strength of materials, statics, or electrical power.
Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
Self-starter, proactive, able to work independently with minimal direction.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of engineering calculations, specifications, and designs.
Track and evaluate project activities, project progress, and related data.
Be involved in power designs and the preparation of documents and specifications for procurement of major equipment, structures, and related installation services.
