Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is offering an Associate Engineering Intern position in the Grid business unit. You will join a project team and assist engineers in executing project work related to transmission and distribution engineering.

Under supervision, you will gain exposure to engineering calculations, specifications, and designs, along with project reporting and procurement document preparation. The role follows a hybrid schedule with three days in the office and two remote days.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in BS or MS in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering with a strong academic background.
• Candidates from other engineering degrees may be considered with relevant coursework in civil, geotechnical, strength of materials, statics, or electrical power.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Self-starter, proactive, able to work independently with minimal direction.
• Ability to identify and prioritize issues, create solutions, and meet deadlines.

• Assist in the preparation of engineering calculations, specifications, and designs.
• Work on project reporting tasks, such as tracking progress and data.
• Be involved in power designs and procurement documents for major equipment and installations.
