Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Associate Engineering Intern to support the Grid engineering team on transmission and distribution projects. You will assist senior engineers in calculations, designs, and project reporting, with opportunities to contribute to procurement documents for major equipment.

The role offers a hybrid schedule (three days in office, two remote) and exposure to Civil, Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical engineering disciplines across multiple project areas.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in a BS or MS in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering with a strong academic background.
• Candidates from other engineering programs may be considered with relevant coursework in civil, geotechnical, strength of materials, statics, or electrical power.
• ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program preferred or applicable coursework emphasized.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing engineering calculations, specifications, and designs.
• Contribute to project reporting: track progress and data.
• Participate in power designs and procurement documentation for major equipment and installations.
• Work on multiple tasks as part of project teams in the Grid business unit.
• Hybrid work arrangement with three days in office and two remote days.
